Here is what our customers are saying...

To Whom It May Concern,

I am an 83 year old man who lives alone in my own home.
I frequently fall in my home because of weakness and am unable to get off the floor without assistance. I find it very comforting to have FRED's remote on my person because I am unable to get to the phone. My family also feels more comfortable knowing I have FRED's remote on my person.

I purchased FRED on March 12,1999. On May 29, 1999 I fell. I pushed the button on the remote. Five minuets later the Sheriff knocked on my door. He came in and picked me up and I was ok. I called the distributor who sold me FRED and ask why I did not here 911 on the base unit. He said the switch was probably set for one way communication and it was. I set it for two way communication. I have fallen six times since then and have had two way communication every time.

The second time I fell was July 24, 2000. The response time was within just a few minutes. The sheriff came again and picked me up. There were two officers this time. The next fall, due to weakness, was August 12, 2000. This time the paramedics came. They picked me up and gave me a thorough checkout, vital signs and communication with a doctor. I fell again on September 10th, 2000. The paramedics came again and did the same procedure as the last time. On September 17, 2000 I fell again and again the paramedics came and picked me up. I was ok. They again took the vital signs and notified the emergency doctor. On October 2, 2000 I fell and the paramedics came and did the same as the last time. On December 2nd, 2000 I pushed the button an FRED's remote because I was in great pain inmy lower abdomen. The paramedics responded in five minuets and took me to emergency at Kaiser hospital in Santa Rosa, Ca. The problem was a blocked bowel. They treated me, kept me about three hours, and then sent me home.

To conclude, I am gradually getting stronger however I feel more secure with FRED inmy possession. I highly recommend FRED for anyone who lives alone and is unable toget to a telephone. I am very grateful to the company, [NeoGenesis Marketing], who makes FRED and the people who distribute it. The distributor in my case is Clay Daves who has been very supportive.

Sincerely,

SUBJ:  Testimonial Letter for the FRED Device

Just a word to children who have parents who are aged, ill or handicapped.

Our son sent his Dad a FRED which has been such a great relief from mental stress about his safety you couldn't imagine.

Now when I have to be away from home I know help is a button press away.

He has used his FRED one time, and the "911" response was instantaneous with help arriving within 5 minutes.

Mrs. C.R.M

Dear FRED,

Thank you so much for being there to help at a time of crisis. Shortly after installing one of your direct dial 911 units my mother fell in her bedroom. She wanted me to help her up but because she looked pale and shocked, I told her to lie still and ran to the unit, pushed the button and ran back to her side. Immediately we were in touch with the local dispatch office which sent a message to the nearby volunteer EMS station and dispatched an ambulance. In the meantime I checked her ability to move. Determined that she had leg pain. Blocked the leg to prevent movement and opened the door for the EMS who had arrived.

Because of FRED my responses were hands free and timely. My mother had broken her leg at the hip and required surgery. In two months she was walking. I now depend on FRED for my personal security.

To know that I can go out on the mower with the remote and, in the event of an accident, summon needed help when working alone is a great comfort.

Sincerely,

Audrey V. Chase

Dear Customer Service:

I am writing this to you in reference to a "Thank You" note sent by my aunt, Agnes Fredrickson, that you hopefully have received by now.

After posting the letter, I returned to her home and continued my afternoon visit. Of course your company was still the topic of conversation.

We briefly went over the contents of her letter, at which time she became concerned, that she had failed to mention "Life Before FRED." as she refers to him. I assured her I would send this follow up on her companion FRED

Briefly, there were two times in attempting to get around without her wheelchair she had fallen. My other aunt checks on her routinely via the phone throughout the day. There was no response at 12noon. Perhaps she was napping. "The machine" took the message and at 9 PM, when the second call was missed, Aunt Carole went to check on her.  She lives only two blocks away.

Agnes had been lying on the floor in the dining room all that time. She had "rolled" out of her wheelchair when she went to pick a Kleenex off the floor.

Needless to say the concern this caused. Our worst fears were realized. We had no solutions! Agnes did not want anyone living with her, and a "baby sitter" was out of the question.

Of course, she promised never to do it again.

That lasted approximately six months when she felt it necessary to try to investigate a jewelry box, high on a dresser and out of reach. She managed to get up, but lost her balance, and came close to striking her head on another dresser. This urge, came after Carole's last call of the night. Aunt Agnes spent the night on the cold, hard floor.

I can truly say, that without FRED the quality of life for my aunt would have ended. She ignored moving in with any of the family, when suggested.
Assisted living would have been the next step, until Carole came across the advertisement In AARP.

"Thank You" for providing Agnes and the rest of the family with the knowledge and comfort that she is safe with a medical or a physical emergency, and heaven forbid, a fire.
Help is on its way immediately.

We know, as she has used FRED when her attempt to get into the bathroom went awry.

I was also to address the cost factor. Agnes is on a limited income as most seniors are. Prescriptions, food, shelter are major concerns, and if she would have had monthly monitoring fees there may have been hard choices for her to make, let alone the initial cost.

We did check on the possibility and of course a three year contract. A monthly fee of $75.00 was quoted.

She has had FRED two years next month. To date she would have spent $1,800.00 with another year to go, and more than likely an increase in fees when the contract came up for renewal.

The simple installation of the unit was a blessing. Just plugging it in to the existing line couldn't have been much simpler.

Well, I have fulfilled my promise to advise you of "Life Before Fred" Please feel free to contact me at any time, if anyone has doubts about your product and it's reliability. Our entire family knows what a lifesaver your company has become for us.

I do have one complaint.  We didn't find FRED sooner!

Sincerely,

Lynn Morrisroe
